Overview of Belzona 5811DW2
Belzona 5811DW2 (DW Immersion Grade) is a variant of Belzona 5811 that is approved by WRAS for contact with potable water. It is a 2-part epoxy coating which provides outstanding chemical resistance and protects equipment operating under immersion in aqueous solutions up to 122°F (50°C).
This 100% solids material can be easily applied by brush or spray to virtually any metallic and non-metallic surface, simplifying maintenance work in water-handling assets where drinking water contact compliance is required.
Typical applications include tanks, bunds, process vessels, pumps, pipes, heat exchangers, clarifiers operating under immersion, secondary containment areas, and pipework. The product also serves as a high-strength structural adhesive for metal bonding.
Key Benefits
Approved by WRAS for applications in contact with potable (drinking) water.
Effective protection of equipment operating under immersion conditions from corrosion damage.
Reduced health and safety risks as it is 100% solids, with no solvents required.
Spray- or brush-applied onto metallic surfaces, concrete, brick and others. Cures in low-temperature and damp conditions.
Easy application by brush or spray and cure at room temperature — no hot work involved.
Excellent adhesion to virtually any surface including cast iron, stainless steel, brass, copper, concrete, wood, fiberglass and aluminum.
