Overview of Belzona 5711
Belzona 5711 is a high-performance, easy-to-apply system specially designed for the repair of erosion and impact damage on the leading edges of wind turbine blades.
Supplied in a cartridge format, Belzona 5711 is well suited for in-situ repair, including by applicators using rope access. Its working life allows the product to be perfectly contoured to the leading edge, removing the need for sanding and eliminating a step in the repair process.
Belzona 5711 cures rapidly and can be directly overcoated with Belzona 5721 in just 45 minutes at 20°C / 68°F, with no additional surface preparation. Together, Belzona 5711 and Belzona 5721 provide a long-lasting repair and protection solution for wind turbine blades, minimizing downtime and maximizing turbine output.
The system is also suitable for repairs to similar types of equipment, including fan blades.
Key Benefits
Rapid curing system which can be overcoated in 45 minutes and is fully cured within 65 minutes at 20°C/68°F.
Single product, suitable for use between 5-40°C / 41-104°F, and up to 85% RH.
Can be perfectly contoured, and removes the need for sanding therefore simplifying the application.
Low hazard and solvent-free. Cartridge format avoids the need to handle and mix individual components.
Robust side-by-side cartridge packaging eases in-situ repair of damaged wind turbine blades.
A combination of Belzona 5711 and Belzona 5721 can repair damage and offer long lasting protection against rain erosion and impact damage.
