Membrane/coating for hot insulation surfaces

Common industries: General Maintenance, Oil and Gas Industry, Chemical Industry

Overview

CUI accumulates between scheduled inspections at the chloride concentration zone where wet insulation sits against an operating pipe surface, and the line stays in service exactly because shutting down to recoat is the cost the project is trying to avoid. Belzona 5851 (HA-Barrier) is the single-component coating that cures in contact with hot surfaces from 158°F to 302°F (70°C to 150°C), applied by brush during operation; Belzona 5831 (ST-Barrier) handles the surface-tolerant, low-temperature end of the range for damp or oil-contaminated substrate. Together they cover the 50°F to 302°F (10°C to 150°C) operating envelope without taking the asset offline.

About Pipelines

External wall loss from atmospheric corrosion, corrosion under insulation, and mechanical damage are the most common pipeline integrity findings. Belzona addresses each with a graded set of cold-cure systems: ISO 24817 / ASME PCC-2 composite wraps for structural reinforcement, immersion-grade epoxy coatings for corrosion barrier, and surface-tolerant pastes for live-leak intervention.
