Overview
Transformer oil leaks at radiator gaskets, weld seams, and bushing bolt circles persist because oil-wet steel rejects ordinary surface preparation and because de-energizing the unit for repair takes the substation offline. Belzona 1212 cures directly onto the oil-contaminated substrate and seals the leak without draining the tank or shutting down the transformer; Belzona 1111 (Super Metal) restores any cracked weldments or damaged flange surfaces that the leak originally exposed. The repair completes during a routine maintenance check rather than a planned outage.
