Overview of Belzona 1983
A two-component high temperature resin for use with Belzona 9381 reinforcing fabric in the SuperWrap II composite repair system. Belzona 1983 is engineered for elevated-temperature service up to 302°F (150°C) and is suitable for application down to 41°F (5°C). Pre-qualified to ASME PCC-2 and ISO 24817, and successfully tested for fire resistance per Firetex M90/02 to the requirements of ABS Level 1 Rules for Building and Classing Steel Vessels.
Verified through hot oil testing at 140°C (284°F) and hydraulic-pressure testing in conjunction with Belzona 1511 as rebuilding material.
