Joints in floors/walkways
Common industries: General Maintenance, Food and Drink Industry, Water and Wastewater Industry
Overview
Expansion joints in floors, walkways, and structural decks are designed to move under thermal and live load, and joint failure usually means the original sealant lost adhesion at the substrate edge rather than failing in the body of the seal. Belzona 4521 (Magma-Flex Fluid) handles joints with significant movement using a fast-curing flexible sealant that bonds reliably to concrete, stone, and brick; Belzona 2211 (MP Hi-Build Elastomer) covers vertical-edge and detail-area work where elastomeric repair is the priority over flow into the joint. Both apply cold and reopen the area to traffic the same shift.

About Floor Problem Areas
Industrial floor work is constrained by the binding spec on the drawing: a static coefficient of friction (SCOF) for slip resistance, a chemical-compatibility list for splash service, and a recoat window that fits inside a weekend or summer shutdown. Belzona's floor family is specified against those numbers, not against generic claims.
